Stratasys Introduces GrabCAD Print Software for Origin One and Origin One Dental 3D Printers

Other new features from Stratasys include the integration of the Origin One Local 3D printer and the ProAero air extraction system

Stratasys, a leading manufacturer of polymer-based 3D printing solutions, today introduced® GrabCAD Print™ software for® Additive Manufacturing Platform, GrabCAD Print provides users with an integrated, comprehensive software solution to streamline the 3D printing workflow, from print file preparation to post-print analysis.

The integration with GrabCAD Print is the first step towards integrating Origin One into the full platform. The GrabCAD Additive Manufacturing Platform provides a two-way connection between 3D printers, additive manufacturing and enterprise applications, and the broader Industry 4.0 infrastructure. Designed for open and enterprise use, the platform combines GrabCAD applications with solutions from third-party GrabCAD software partners through the GrabCAD Software Development Kit (SDK). The ecosystem-based approach enables manufacturers to manage their additive manufacturing operations across the entire digital process, from design to finished product. GrabCAD Print for Origin One offers an alternative to third-party pre-print solutions, a consistent user experience, and connectivity to Stratasys 3D printing technologies, while replacing the native Origin web application.

“Following our acquisition by Stratasys, customers have indicated that we should make making GrabCAD Print available as a top development priority. Today, we are pleased to announce that the efficiency and simplified workflow of GrabCAD Print is now available to the rapidly growing community of Origin One users,” said Ronen Lebi, vice president and director of manufacturing (P3), Stratasys. “In addition to GrabCAD Print for the Origin One, we are continuously expanding our portfolio with other solutions to best meet the needs of our customers. With these new solutions, we can better serve customers who need an offline printing solution and provide additional security features for the Stratasys Origin One printer.”

GrabCAD Print for the Origin One printer delivers improved print preparation and improved automatic support design with lower support material consumption, and new features such as labeling, native CAD file support, printer status monitoring, and printer scheduling. The software also takes advantage of the Open Material License (OML), which allows users to use open-access materials, develop materials with profiles and settings optimized for their needs, manage material collections, and share materials within their organization. The Open Material License also allows material suppliers to publish material profiles compatible with Origin technology.

In addition to GrabCAD Print for the Origin One printer, the company today introduced two additional Origin One offerings. Origin One Local is a new local printer configuration that offers the same features and capabilities as Origin One. With the local version, customers working in government, homeland security, and other highly regulated IT sectors can also take advantage of Origin One’s capabilities. Stratasys has also developed the Origin One ProAero air extraction system, which is also available for PolyJet-based office 3D printers. The professional, ready-to-use system extracts air from the Origin One printer and filters out all fumes, dust, and odors before recirculating clean air back into the room.

GrabCAD Print for the Stratasys Origin One printer will be available free of charge to all Origin One and Origin One Dental customers. GrabCAD Print is expected to be available for Origin One, Origin One Local and Origin One ProAero printers in the second half of 2022.
