Shining 3D FreeScan Trak Nova is a dynamic tracking 3D scanning system that perfectly covers the need for fast and precise digitization of large, complex surfaces. The wireless design provides maximum freedom during measurement, for photogrammetry guarantees reliable accuracy and easy setup.
What makes the system special is that its two main units – the TE Nova scanner and the UE Nova tracker – also a handheld laser scanner – can be used in three combinations. It is ideal for industries where 3D documentation of large objects is also required – be it mechanical engineering, railway or aerospace industries, construction or even energy production.

Both the tracker and scanner batteries are hot-swappable, eliminating the need for downtime during longer measurement projects – increasing productivity and measurement flexibility.

The UE Nova also has the largest field of view, allowing it to capture large objects at record speeds. The system is ideal for comprehensive digitization of larger machines, complete vehicles or structures measuring tens of meters.

Three modes – maximum versatility
the TE Nova Using
If dynamic tracking is not required - for example, when digitizing smaller parts - you can use the TE Nova without a tracker. In this case, we work with marker-based references while scanning.
the UE Nova Using
The UE Nova can also function as a wireless handheld laser scanner. It can be purchased separately and used as a standalone device. Its wide field of view (FOV) and high speed make it ideal for quickly digitizing large objects, for example.
The two units together, marker-free scanning
The most complete, wireless mode is achieved when the TE Nova and UE Nova work together: the Tracker “sees” the scanner and continuously records its spatial position, so we can achieve metrological accuracy even without the use of markers. This dynamic tracking allows freedom during measurement – even more complex, hard-to-reach parts can be digitized easily and quickly.
