Brief presentation of the project content:
As part of the project, an AMT PostPro3D surface treatment device was purchased.
The mechanical parameters of the surface-treated models also improve, their surface becomes not only completely smooth, but also compact – so the models no longer become air and water-permeable. When mechanical parameters such as tensile strength, impact work, etc. improve, it is noticeable that the isotropic nature of the raw materials increases – which is always a known phenomenon in 3D printing.
As a result of the chemical treatment, the treated models are germ-free, i.e. practically biocompatible – which enables several direct medical uses.
In connection with the investment, we are performing surface treatment of models manufactured with our industrial-professional 3D printing equipment, which, based on our primary tests, significantly increases the application possibilities of the products and components made in this way. This contributes to a higher level of service for our customers, and new application areas and industries open up for 3D printing.
