Neo®800+ large format, high-speed printer introduced
Stratasys Expands Stereolithography Portfolio – Introducing the Neo®800+ Large-Format, High-Speed Printer.
Stratasys has announced the latest addition to its family of stereolithography (SLA) 3D printers, the Neo®800+. The new 3D printer is an enhanced version of the popular Neo800 and offers significant speed increases, greater manufacturing efficiency and low cost – ideal for industries that require large-scale, precise and repeatable high-resolution parts.
the manufacturer’s latest ScanControl+™ scanning technology uses 50% faster printing speeds compared to the previous model without compromising precision. The improved laser system and optics enable the use of high energy density materials, thus producing precise parts with excellent surface quality.
Based on real-world tests, ScanControl+ by an average of 39% speeds up production cycles 44% or higher , depending on the material used. The outstanding printing accuracy reduces the need for post-processing, thus reducing the overall production cost of each part.
The Neo800+ is specifically innovative, high-value applications such as wind tunnel testing, rapid prototyping or tool manufacturing.
The Neo800+’s advanced reliability features , including Protection , Stage Collision Detection, and real-time environmental sensing , further enhance uptime and production consistency. These intelligent solutions greatly contribute to increased production efficiency, ensuring reliability and consistent, high-quality prints.
“The Neo800+ was developed with precision and performance in mind to meet the growing demands of industries like automotive and aerospace, where high-speed production and flawless part quality are essential,” said Rich Garrity, senior vice president, Stratasys. “Whether you’re designing prototypes or manufacturing end-use parts, the Neo800+ delivers exceptional performance and reliability.”
The Neo800+ is optimized for Somos® ScanControl+ compatible substrates, ensuring accurate parts and first-time print success. One of the most important innovations in the product line is the Somos® WaterShed® XC+ material, which has been specially developed for the Neo800+. The next-generation resin builds on the well-known Somos WaterShed XC 11122 and produces transparent, smooth-surfaced parts while enabling significantly faster scan speeds – all without compromising quality. This makes the material particularly suitable for automotive, aerospace and consumer electronics applications.
Stratasys offers a complete SLA ecosystem, including the cost-effective GrabCAD Print Build Preparation software, as well as post-processing solutions , to help optimize SLA workflows. The Neo800+ printer, ScanControl+ compatible materials and complementary software solutions together make production smoother and more efficient.
“The higher speed has allowed us to increase throughput and maintain open capacity, as well as offer faster turnaround times to our customers,” said Sean Schoonmaker, director of operations at Stratasys. “The quality and consistency of the printed parts is outstanding – the surface finish significantly reduces the need for rework on aesthetic models. Details are sharper and dimensional accuracy is well within typical tolerances.”
Stratasys officially the launch of the Neo800+ the Additive Manufacturer's User Group (AMUG) conference on March 31, 2025 announced Rapid TCT trade show on April 8, 2025 at 3:00 PM, Yoav Zeif, CEO of Stratasys, and Rivian Automotive in attendance.
