The FANUC Robot Carnival was held with great interest – VARINEX Zrt. also presented itself

At the beginning of March 2026, the FANUC showroom in Törökbálint was once again full: for three days, the latest solutions in industrial automation and robotics were in the spotlight at the FANUC Robot Carnival event. Following the traditions of previous years, the professional event took place in a three-day format this year as well, but according to the organizers, it attracted more interest than ever before.

Representatives from the manufacturing industry, automation experts and technology suppliers were all present, and the event generated such interest even at the registration stage that the organizers had to limit the number of applications due to the capacity of the venue.

The Robot Carnival aims to provide manufacturing players with a direct exposure to the latest automation technologies and to provide answers to the challenges that most affect the industry. Exhibitors and technology partners offered solutions to topics such as labor shortages, rising labor costs, increasing production efficiency, and sustainable industrial operations.

In addition to FANUC, many industrial technology companies presented their solutions. Co-exhibitors included SCHUNK, SMC, Beckhoff, Balluff, Phoenix Contact, Festo, OMRON and VARINEX Zrt. The presentations clearly demonstrated that automation is no longer just about robots: intelligent sensors, digital manufacturing systems, additive manufacturing and measurement technologies are increasingly interconnected in the modern industrial environment.

Additive manufacturing and robotic measurement at the VARINEX booth

Zoltán Fehér, Managing Director of VARINEX Zrt., commented on the participation:

“VARINEX participated in a FANUC event for the first time and I would like to express my appreciation to the organizers because they put on a high-quality event. The venue is already very good, but it is important that serious attention was paid to the presented solutions. Additive technology has long been used in the production of robot arm devices, and automated systems are also gaining ground in the world of 3D scanning. We also sell robotic measuring systems for repetitive, automatable measuring tasks. The world of 3D printing is a growing market, but cyclicality can also be observed. Special raw materials and special applications drive the world of additive manufacturing. Our engineers are happy to help those interested in these innovative developments. This year we are celebrating our 35th anniversary, for which we are grateful to our partners. We started the celebration with exciting prizes at the Robot Carnival and will continue throughout the year. We look forward to seeing all professional interested parties at the VARINEX 3D Digital In a factory where we help industrial companies develop with forward-looking manufacturing solutions.”

The increasingly close relationship between robotics and additive manufacturing

As industrial automation advances, robotics, 3D scanning, and additive manufacturing are increasingly becoming complementary technologies. For example, custom grippers, tools, and end-of-arm devices for robotic arms can be produced using additive technology, providing manufacturers with faster development cycles and greater flexibility.

In addition, automated measurement and inspection systems are also playing an increasingly important role in the modern industrial environment. Robotic measurement systems enable the automation of repetitive inspection tasks, thus reducing the possibility of human error while increasing the efficiency of production processes.
The Robot Carnival clearly showed that the digitalization and automation of the manufacturing industry is still in strong momentum. Technologies such as industrial robotics, sensors, 3D scanning or additive manufacturing are increasingly appearing in integrated systems, which open up new opportunities for companies towards more efficient and flexible production.
