Factory Fest 2025 – inspiration, innovation, festival
Factory Fest came to life again on August 28th, showing once again that professional knowledge sharing and a festival atmosphere can go hand in hand. Within the walls of the Furukawa Electric Institute of Technology, partners, customers and professionals could not only gain knowledge, but also build relationships in an informal way.
Professional content first-hand
The central theme of the event was research and development in the spirit of sustainability.
Four experts shared their experiences and future-oriented thoughts on stage:
- Dr. Antal Kováts, Managing Director of the Furukawa Electric Technology Institute, presented the company's research and development directions.
- István Nadj, CEO of CAD-Terv, spoke about the role of AI in everyday product development.
- Levente Tóth-Bucsek, sales manager of VARINEX Zrt., explored the potential of 3D printing as one of the greatest tools for research and development.
- Dr. Ilona Rácz, head of Furukawa Electric Advanced Material Group, presented a new approach to sustainable manufacturing technologies, with a particular focus on laser welding and recycling.
The host of the show this year was again Miklós Czakó, editor-in-chief of NEW technology magazine.
In addition to the professional presentations, participants were also able to gain insight into Furukawa Electric's special laser application lab, where they could see the operation of the blue and blue-IR hybrid laser up close.
Festival atmosphere and shared experiences
The rest of the afternoon was filled with informal conversations and a summer-ending atmosphere. Delicious snacks, a wine and GIN corner, and playful programs made the event truly memorable.
The GIN-PONG tournament, where four teams competed, was a particular success. The Furukawa team won the matches in a good atmosphere and were cheered on by the crowd, taking home the “unofficial” trophy of the event.
Inspiration and momentum for the last part of the year
Factory Fest proved once again that sharing professional knowledge and shared experiences can go hand in hand. Participants can start the last quarter of the year not only with new knowledge, but also with fresh energy and momentum.
One thing is for sure: everyone who was there was enriched with knowledge, connections and experiences – and we can already look forward to what the next Factory Fest will be like!
