WREX 3D nyomtatott orvostechnikai eszköz

A gyermekkor visszaadása a legmodernebb 3D nyomtatási technológiával

A gyermekkor visszaadása a legmodernebb 3D nyomtatási technológiával

Emma Levalle a 3D nyomtaott exoskeletonnal

Lehetőség a javulásra

A 3D nyomtatott WREX elég tartósnak bizonyult a mindennapi használathoz.

Stratasys J5 MediJet a Birminghami kórházban

A Stratasys, a polimer 3D nyomtatási megoldások piacvezető gyártója megosztotta, hogy az angliai Birminghami Egyetemi Kórház jobb eredményeket ér el a koponya- és nyaktáji rákos betegek esetében a személyre szabott, 3D nyomtatott műtéti sablonok használatával, a kórház beszámolója alapján ugyanis akár három órával is csökkent a műtéti idő.

Ez a siker a Stratasys J5 MediJet™ 3D nyomtató integrációjának köszönhető, amely lehetővé teszi a kórház számára, hogy a műtétek előtt rendkívül pontos, páciens-specifikus műtéti sablonokat készítsen, és ezzel átalakítsa a daganatok eltávolításának módját a fejtájéki és nyaki rákos betegeknél. Korábban ezeket egy fémdarab kézzel történő vágásával és hajlításával hozták létre, miközben a beteg a műtőasztalon feküdt, ami időigényes és nagy hibalehetőséggel járó folyamat.

A sebészcsapat mostantól a páciensek szkennelt felvételei alapján 3D nyomtatással akár 150 mikron felbontású, rendkívül pontos eszközöket tud előállítani, amelyek segítik jobb műtéti eredmények elérését.

Stefan Edmondson

A kórház a több különféle alapanyag használatára képes, színes 3D nyomtatóját a Stratasys brit viszonteladóján, a Tri-Tech 3D-n keresztül szerezte be.

„A Stratasys a 3D nyomtatók igazi etalonja – amit a J5 MediJet is jól példáz” – tette hozzá Edmondson.

Stratasys' new product: J5 DentaJet dental 3D printer

Stratasys Introduces J5 DentaJet Dental 3D Printer Designed to Address Growing Demand for Dental Solutions

Stratasys has introduced a new device for dental and dental labs that combines the efficiency of 3D printing with the realism and precision of PolyJet technology. The J5 DentaJet™ is the only multi-material dental 3D printer, allowing dental technicians to create multiple, diverse dental models on a single build tray. The new device can produce at least five times more dental models on a single build tray than competitive 3D printers, yet has a small footprint of just 0.43 square meters.

The new system, supported by biocompatible materials, could dramatically increase the efficiency of 3D model printing for dental laboratories.

Stratasys' latest 3D printer maximizes productivity for the dental market, all in a small footprint

Dental laboratories need to produce multiple models in multiple materials, whether it’s a removable partial denture or a dental implant. For example, each implant includes an upper and lower rigid, opaque model, a soft gingival mask, and a biocompatible surgical drill guide. This requires three different materials, forcing technicians to either use multiple 3D printers or run separate prints for each material. The J5 DentaJet can easily handle up to 5 materials, including the support material.

The colorful, multi-material J5 DentaJet can also produce lifelike, 3D printed communication models, which previously could only be achieved with time-consuming wax models. With the new equipment, however, designs can be digitally produced in just a few hours. Due to the high resolution of PolyJet materials, dentists can implant crowns and bridges in minutes thanks to the accuracy of the models – which is 18.75 microns, half the thickness of a human hair.

Accurate dental models, quickly, with little rework

“3D printing is becoming increasingly popular for dental and orthodontic models, but the process is still too manual and time-consuming,” said Osnat Philipp, vice president of Healthcare at Stratasys. The J5 DentaJet advances the full digital transformation of dental models by combining precision with automation. The system operates largely unattended and can print multiple models of different types and materials on a single print bed. It is a highly productive machine.”

NEO Lab is a family-owned orthodontic business in Andover, Massachusetts. The company has been beta-testing the J5 DentaJet to help its 120 employees, who serve 3,000 orthodontic and dental clinics across the country. CEO and co-owner Christian Saurman says they started using the system to achieve better surface quality, which has also helped them manage a large volume of parts. “We produce 600 orthodontic appliances a day,” Saurman said. “The DentaJet 3D printer is easy to use, can produce multiple models in a single print, and we don’t need to do any post-processing after we take them out of the machine. Our models are going from the printer to the user faster than ever before.”

J750 DAP: realisztikus funkcionális csontmodellek

Stratasys J750 Digital Anatomy

Ugyan nagy a kereslet a csontmodellek iránt, a hagyományos modellezési eljárások komoly hiányosságokkal bírnak. A modellek ráadásul akármelyik beteg röntgenfelvételei alapján elkészíthetők.

A csigolyák közötti porckorongok különböző fokú merevséggel is nyomtathatók. Fontos továbbá, hogy az általános csontoknál sűrűbb szerkezetű koponyacsont, illetve a hosszú csontok különböző mennyiségű velő tartalma is kinyomtatható. Mindeközben különböző anyagkombinációk állíthatók elő voxel-szinten* a megfelelő biomechanikai tulajdonságok biztosítása érdekében.

Kutatási tanulmányok igazolják a 3D nyomtatott ortopéd modellek biomechanikai pontosságát

A Tel-Avivi Egyetem Számítógépes Mechanikai és Kísérleti Biomechanikai Laboratóriumának kutatói klinikai vizsgálatokat végeztek a Stratasys J750 Digital Anatomy 3D nyomtatóval előállított csontmodellek jellemzőivel.

* A voxel a pixel térbeli megfelelője, a háromdimenziós kép legkisebb egysége. A GrabCAD Voxel Print bevezetésével a Stratasy J750 Digital Anatomy 3D nyomtató képes állítani a 3 dimenziós nyomtatási anyag koncentrációját, szerkezetét és színes térképezését a voxel szintjén.

Hospital application of Stratasys 3D printers against coronavirus

Paris University Hospital receives 60 Stratasys 3D printers to help fight coronavirus

Paris hospital system deploys 60 Stratasys 3D printers to fight COVID-19. The F123 series 3D printers were delivered and installed at the hospital within 24 hours.

The University Hospital of Paris (L'Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris), the largest hospital system in Europe, has deployed 60 Stratasys 3D printers to support the fight against the coronavirus. Delivered within 24 hours of ordering, the equipment will allow the French hospital system to manufacture medical devices and components on site to meet emerging needs.

The 60 F123 series 3D printers, which are housed in a 150-square-meter facility at the hospital, were supplied by Stratasys’ French reseller CADvision. The FDM-based machines are being used to print everything from face shields and masks to electric syringe pumps and intubation devices to ventilator valves to help alleviate the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic.

The hospital is being assisted by Bone3D, a 3D printing service provider with extensive experience in the medical sector, to manage the large-scale 3D printing project, providing engineers to manage the installation, operation and servicing of the Stratasys fleet. The hospital has also launched a dedicated 3D printing platform (3dcovid.org) to help meet the rapid needs of 3D printed equipment for healthcare workers in and around Paris, in the part of France most affected by the pandemic.

3D printers are used to provide equipment needed against COVID-19

The 3D printing resources acquired with the support of the University of Paris and the Kering Group will allow a wide range of healthcare institutions to address emerging supply shortages and provide the equipment needed to protect their staff and treat hospital patients.

“The overwhelming and severe nature of COVID-19 continues to impact the supply chain of the world’s most essential equipment,” said Andreas Langfeld, President, Stratasys EMEA. “Thanks to 3D printing technology, the University Hospital of Paris has its own rapid-response supply chain in-house, allowing it to move production directly to where it is needed, immediately providing essential equipment to frontline healthcare workers who are saving lives every day.”

Stratasys is also supporting the fight against COVID-19 in another way: it is working with partners to produce and distribute thousands of face shields for healthcare workers. The company said it received more than 350,000 requests for face shields last week and is seeking manufacturing partners to meet the urgent need.
